Strengthening India–Mauritius Ties: A Delegation Visit

Visiting Mauritius recently as Vibhav International Cultural, Educational and Social Forum office bearers was an honor.

Our delegation — led by Dr. Prof. Pradeep Dhawal (Founder President), along with Shri Dilip Thanekar (Founder Secretary), and Amol Apte (Founder Treasurer) — had the privilege to meet with distinguished leaders including the High Commissioner of India Shri Anurag Shrivastava, the Hon'ble Health and Wellness Minister Shri Anil Kumar Bachoo, the Hon'ble Minister of Tertiary Education, Science & Research Shri Kaviraj Sharma Sukon, the Hon'ble Minister of Arts & Cultural Heritage Shri Mahendra Gondeea, and newly appointed High Commissioner of Mauritius Smt. Sheilabai Bappoo.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Shri Balraj Narroo, President of the Marathi Mandali Federation, and his team to discuss upcoming projects for the promotion and publicity of the Marathi language, which was granted classical language status last year — a proud milestone for the community.

We had insightful discussions on fostering cross-cultural collaborations, educational exchange, and social initiatives between India and Mauritius. Grateful for the warm hospitality and the shared commitment to global cooperation.
