Meeting H.E. Sheilabai Bappoo on International Women's Day
Vibhav International Cultural, Educational & Social Forum was honoured to meet H.E. Sheilabai Bappoo, High Commissioner of Mauritius to India, over breakfast in Mumbai during her visit to the city.
A beautiful coincidence that this meeting fell on International Women's Day. Some moments choose their own timing.
The delegation was led by our President, Dr. Prof. Pradip Dhawal, and included Kishor Masurkar, Mandar Tillu, Amol Apte, Dilip Thanekar, Dr. Pranjali Dhawal, and Dr. Pratik Mungekar.
The informality of the setting made the conversation all the more open and meaningful.
Discussions centred on deepening India–Mauritius collaboration across education, research, cultural exchange, and institutional partnerships — areas that sit at the very heart of Vibhav's mission.
Her Excellency's perspective on women's leadership as a structural pillar of sustainable diplomacy, not merely a theme for one day, resonated deeply with our delegation.
As a gesture of appreciation for her distinguished contributions to India–Mauritius relations, our delegation felicitated H.E. Mrs. Sheilabai Bappoo.

या अनौपचारिक वातावरणामुळे संवाद अधिक मोकळा आणि अर्थपूर्ण झाला.
भारत आणि मॉरिशस यांच्यातील शिक्षण, संशोधन, सांस्कृतिक देवाणघेवाण आणि शैक्षणिक सहकार्य या विभवच्या मूळ ध्येयाशी निगडित विषयांवर सखोल चर्चा झाली. महिलांचे नेतृत्व हे केवळ एका दिवसाचा विषय नसून शाश्वत मुत्सद्देगिरी आणि संस्थात्मक विकासाचा आधारस्तंभ आहे — H.E. सौ. बापू यांचे हे विचार आमच्या प्रतिनिधीमंडळाला खूप भावले.
भारत–मॉरिशस मैत्री आणि सहकार्य वृद्धिंगत करण्यासाठी केलेल्या योगदानाबद्दल H.E. सौ. शिलाबाई बापू यांचा आमच्या प्रतिनिधीमंडळाच्या वतीने सत्कार करण्यात आला.
विभवचा विश्वास आहे की अर्थपूर्ण आंतरराष्ट्रीय सहकार्याची सुरुवात नेहमी अशीच होते — वेगवेगळ्या जगातील माणसे एकत्र येतात, मनमोकळेपणाने बोलतात आणि समान दृष्टिकोन शोधतात.
